1: Unroll about 6” of tape off of your roll (You can always use more for thicker fabrics or needles).
2: Cut or tear your unrolled piece of tape from the roll. Either way is sufficient.
3: After you have cut/torn off your piece of tape, don’t forget to fold the edge of the tape roll back so that the edge doesn’t stick back to the roll.
4: Start wrapping the tape around your finger and nail if you have longer nails or manicure.Just apply slight tension to the tape and wrap it around your finger.
Get all the protection you need without cutting off your circulation. After you wrap, squeeze tape around your finger to mold to your finger and nail. Always feel free to add more tape on to a wrapped finger for tougher projects i.e. needle felting, mending leather/denim. Thimtec sticks to itself but not to you!
5: Repeat this process per as many fingers as you would like.
Since Thimtec is moldable, you can remove your molded finger wrappings if you are taking a break and place it back on your finger when you are ready to stitch again!
*We recommend using a fresh tape usually 1-2 days later.
